On January 19, 2007, we were proud to install a 1kW Solar Array & a 400W Twin Blade Wind Turbine to the Tathra Surf Lifesaving Club - the first club in Australia to be using renewable energy. 

As part of the local "Clean Energy For Eternity" campaign, the installation recieved excellent coverage by the media, including a segment aired to ABC National news that evening & multiple stories in both national & local newspapers & radio. ( See Media Coverage )

The "Grid connect" installation sees the club reducing it's electricity bill by around $1000 each year & saving almost 3 tonnes of carbon emmisions annually.

Tathra Surf Lifesaving Club recieved a $4000 rebate from the Australian Greenhouse Office.  Rebates may be available for having a "grid connect" system installed.
